01

Who we are

Vero Kitchen P.C. ("VERO", "we", "us") operates the VERO restaurants, this website and our ordering app, and is the data controller for the personal data described here. Our registered office is 12 Agion Anargyron, Athens 105 54, Greece.

We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and Greek Law 4624/2019.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, order food, join our mailing list, apply for a job or contact us, and what we do with it.

02

What we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number and order details when you order ahead; your email address when you subscribe to the Vero Dispatch; and whatever you choose to tell us through the contact form or a job application.

Information collected automatically: your device type, browser, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages visited and the time spent on them. If you use "find nearest", we use your precise location only for that search and do not store it.

We do not collect or store full payment card details. Payments are handled by our payment processor, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1.

03

How we use it

To prepare and hand over your order, and to contact you if something goes wrong with it. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

To send the Vero Dispatch, if you have asked for it. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we honour it immediately.

To understand which pages and dishes people are interested in, so we can improve the menu and the site. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.

To respond to enquiries and assess job applications (our legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations under Greek law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

04

Cookies

Essential cookies keep your basket intact and remember your cookie choice. They cannot be switched off.

Analytics cookies tell us, in aggregate, how people use the site. In line with Greek Law 3471/2006 on electronic communications, we set them only if you select "Accept all" in the cookie banner.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or clear cookies in your browser settings.

05

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run VERO: our payment processor, email platform, hosting provider and analytics provider, each under a written contract that limits how they can use it.

Where a provider stores data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an EU adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may disclose information where the law requires it, for example to the Greek tax authorities, or to protect the safety of our guests and staff.

06

How long we keep it

Order and invoicing records are kept for as long as Greek tax law requires, generally five years from the end of the relevant tax year. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Job applications are deleted twelve months after the role is filled, unless you ask us to keep you on file.

07

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@vero.example. We will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA), 1–3 Kifissias Avenue, Athens 115 23, www.dpa.gr.

08

Children

Our website and app are not intended for children under 15, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

09

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let subscribers know by email.
